Had a dream last night that was stuck in Happy Days.  Am of firm belief that this was due to the obsession yesterday with Laverne & Shirley and Boo Boo Kitty.  The Evil Twin was playing a darker, brooding, vaguely evil version of Mrs. Cunnigham (imagine Wednesday Addams meets Martha Stewart meets Beverly Sutphin) and E-dub was playing a thinner, menacing (which is a great accomplishment for him), Punk Rock version of Mr. Cunningham.  In this episode they were scheming the down fall of The Fonz (played by the irrepressible K-Glo).  The crazy thing about this dream was that yours truly was playing the part of Al...

Laverne and Shirley

No, am not going to list the lyrics.

It's all about the feeling.  The warm-fuzzy-ness.  Can remember watching that show as a kid in Prime Time and thinking to self how fantastic their lives were and how lucky Shirley was to have a cute boyfriend like Carmine.

Yes, being gay came as little surprise to anyone in my family.  I think it was from the Shirley-is-so-lucky-ness as well as the emphatic statement made to my Aunt Linda when I was 7 years that I was going to marry Joe Hardy (Shawn Cassidy).  And if I couldn't marry him, than either Frank Hardy (Parker Stevenson) or The Bionic Man (Lee Majors) would have to do.

Looking back on it now I have the wonder what in the hell was I thinking?  Shawn Cassidy vs. Parker Stevenson vs. Lee Majors?!?!

Clearly as a kid I had no taste in choosing Shawn Cassidy as numero uno when the accolade should clearly have gone to Parker Stevenson.  He was not only better looking, but had better hair.

I am not going to even address the Lee Majors thing.

But there was a new Hardy Boys show that apparently showed for a very short period of time in the mid '90s.  This undoubtedly took place when I was in the famous "No, no media" stage of my life.  And just who are these two attractive men??  And who, I mean WHO, thought that they could take the place of my Parker?!?!  I mean really.  They are cute though.

That expedia.com commercial where the cute guy goes into the bathroom and catches his parents taking a shower.

Now, I don't want to think of my parents in the shower together, let alone seeing it staged on the tele.

Maniac?

It's 9:10pm and have been mesmerized by the video for the truly terrible song Maniac.  Much like the scene in Victor Victoria where Julie Andrews is mesmerized by the fat man eating his desert in the cafe window in 1930S Paris, so yours truly was sucked in by the leg warmers and bad strip club dancing.

It was just like that.

Well, not exactly.  But am sure that the look on face was much the same, even if the thought was not.

Let's talk about Whitesnake.

And for those of you who where curious about my trivia question and didn't figure it out (J.K. who came up to me today at work asking why I always like the boys with "weird hair").

Mark White (the sexy gent on the right of the picture to the right) was the other half of the most excellent brit pop band ABC.

The Lions Den

So much to write about.

I finally get home from the grueling travel schedule (placed upon myself to be sure) only to find that I am, to quote, "not looked upon as highly as I once was."  Apparently, even though we are supposed to speak our minds on unpopular issues, when I do it, it's translates into "He's being reckless".  Oh well, I can't let it bother me.  I will just work to make it all better. 

David and I apparently have made up...  Although, he got engaged to Wren (his uber cool gfriend) and didn't bother to tell me about it.  It happened when he went to Paris...  Again. (see posting on July 1, 2005).

I know, Kevin, that I said that I normally don't post the usual "I got up this morning, had toast and got ready for work" kinda thing.  But, I will enduldge in that just his once.

And by the way...  What is the deal with the Judds??

And Crazy Katie is now having a Crazy Baby with Crazy Cruise...  Am wondering what the christening ceremony is like in Scientology.  Do they call L. Ron Hubbard up from the grave with the Aliens to perform the blessing?

Have become obsessed with Swiffer products. 

And R. is one of the bestest friends a guy could have.  If you know him, you know what I mean.
